Hal Hightower was born in Twin Falls, Idaho. At the age of 13 he was saved while attending youth camp, and in 1973 God called him to preach. Bro. Hal graduated from Bob Jones University in 1977. After graduation he taught in a Christian School then became youth pastor at Community Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan where Dr. Doug Jackson was pastor. He married Karen October 20, 1979 and has a son, Jeremiah. In May of 1996 Bro. Hightower received a Doctor of Divinity degree.
From October 1988 to February 2003 Bro. Hightower was pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri. While there they grew from an average Sunday School attendance of 165 to 450, and saw their missions ministry grow from 16 missions projects to more than 115. They also experienced growth in their Christian school growing from an enrollment of 19 to over 100 students.
After serving for 21 years in the pastorate, the latter fifteen at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri, Hal Hightower entered the field of full-time evangelism in 2003. He travels with Karen, his wife of 29 years.
The Lord has used Hal’s unique testimony, his passion for the lost, and his dynamic preaching in churches, youth camps, and fundamental Christian colleges across America and in foreign lands.
